Chinese Xenophobia Paranoia
I’m sure the U.S. does the same in other countries, but it looks like now we need to watch out for Chinese students getting PhDs and jobs in corporate America to be spies to steal company secrets for China. So now, according to the FBI, these Chinese “students, delegations, researchers, visitors … and false-front companies” are a classic example of U.S. adversaries who are chipping away at the “economic viability of the United States” and our “10-year technological advantage “.
While this particular article is so all-encompassing in calling out this Chinese threat it should definitely get the ACLU’s attention regarding xenophobia and probably even “profiling” charges. However, the tone of this piece definitely implies to me “all Chinese” in the U.S. should be suspect. That’s an awfully broad assertion.
