What kind of crime is "Turning a Blind Eye"?
Check out this article link regarding closing a blind eye to our country’s adventures overseas…..as per the incendiary Ward Churchill vs the more eloquent Bill Johnson or Chalmers Johnson. Different ways of expressing the same concept, each having different impacts. Sometimes the more incendiary version might be needed to capture people’s attention.
This led me to the following Wikipedia quote, found under Dwight Eisenhower…

Extremely powerful concepts. I understand the concern. How “alert and knowledgeable” is our citizenry? If revolution, in terms of a civil war, is the suggested only way out, I’ll engage the conspiracy theory of…maybe it’s better that the citizenry stay in an “unknowing state”.
